We've got many performances and testing to look forward to at our school - but I am so ready for Spring and Easter lessons.
Here's an easy group activity I've used in the past:

I drew on these eggs with a fine-line Sharpie.
The students (5th graders) can match up the top of the rhythms to the bottom, then place them in a pyramid shape (whole note on top, sixteenth notes on the bottom). The pink eggs are irregular (syncopa and dotted half note). The students can also use these to compose rhythms.
I use this as a station activity.
